– Summer Law Institute in China –

Executive Education Training Program

held at Peking University School of Government in Beijing (China), in cooperation with partner universities and institutions around the world.

This intensive intercultural experience, now in its 9th edition, allows you to spend one month abroad, offering you a unique opportunity to:

  • Enrich your curriculum with an international academic experience (each course taught by Professors and experts with different backgrounds and from different countries)

  • Be prepared to succeed in a global environment as well as gain a deeper insight into international issues in such a fast-pace growing country like China

  • Create a bridge between the conceptual theories, methodologies and techniques taught in class and their application to real case studies

  • Explore career opportunities, getting in contact with local organizations, public institutions and private corporations

  • Benefit from an established network and mentoring programs, meant to provide the attendees with an introduction to the local professional world


The program includes

  • Two elective courses on current matters, with a European and Chinese perspective (both taught in English by Professors and Experts):

    1. Law, Policy, Economics and Technology on Climate Change and Environmental issues

    2. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Seminars and round tables involving experts of Chinese law, politics and culture, environment, sustainable development and intellectual property as well as experts in the specific themes covered during the different classes

How to Apply

To participate in the selection, candidates have to do the following:

  • fulfil the online application form

  • submit a curriculum vitae with a section devoted to the details of university exams, grades and dates

  • submit an official certification of English language skills (in any case, even if no certificate is provided, the candidate’s English language skills will be tested during a phone interview)

  • submit a personal statement, to be written by the candidate in English

  • submit a reference letter from a professor who knows the candidate (this requirement is suggested but not compulsory)

  • submit a photo in electronic format (.jpeg)

  • submit a scanned copy of passport (front page with photo only)

The Admission Committee will take into account the following preferential criteria:

  • Proficiency in English

  • Good command of other languages

  • Grades (No minimum requirements)

  • Overall CV of the candidate

  • Experience studying abroad or internships at relevant institutions

  • Motivation and ability to relate to others in a multicultural environment.
