Belgrade will host the next edition of The Week of Facility Management

The next edition of The Week of Facility Management will be hosted in Belgrade to promote the discipline in the country.

From June the 28th until July the 1st Belgrade will host The Week of Facility Management. On those days FM professionals will gather in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city and will share their view of the sector to all attendants.

Facility Management is not a new discipline in Serbia and The Week of Facility Management comes to the country to be an opportunity to strengthen the role of the discipline, since this event will be a meeting point to all who are interested in Facility Management.

The week will begin with a tour through a couple of emblematic buildings guided by their Facility Managers. It will be a great moment to get to know the daily activities that the management of this kind of buildings includes.

During the following day, the Chamber of Commerce will host a meeting to lay out the proposal of a Facility Management national association in Serbia. National associations bring great support for all the professionals in the sector, enhancing their recognition and giving them the chance to have a guide regarding best practices and a professionals’ network. This forum will be lead by Goran Milanov (EuroFM Vice Chairman). In addition, Maria Donic (Secretary of Serbian ISO/TC) will lead a forum where she will explain how Serbia can participate in the international development of ISO standards in FM, so the country can be represented in the process.

On the same day, June the 29th, many professionals will speak about the situation of Facility Management in Serbia and the trends and international development of FM. Our speakers will be Vladimir Zivanovic (FM Manager at Delzhaize Group), Ljubomir Jovanovic (Facility Manager at Nelt Group), Zorana Petojevic (researcher at the University of Belgrade) and representatives of Serbia Green Building Council and Unicredit Banck. The last two days will be dedicated to specialized training in FM given by David Martínez (Director of CIFMERS GLOBAL).

FM professionals will find a meeting point for their sector where they can exchange experiences and best practices and therefore this event will be an ideal spot to enhance their professional network. In addition, CIFMERS GLOBAL (The Week of FM organizer) has developed CIFMERS APP, a mobile app, so attendants can interact among them and with the speakers during the event and also after, so the interaction in the sector can get stronger. The app will also gather all the contents of the Conference, which will be available from anywhere in the world.

The presence of well-known professionals and the sponsorship of important companies of the sector grant that The Week of Facility Management will be a big step towards the recognition of this discipline as a key element in the companies’ structures.
